MailBug isn’t made to display computer-based attachments, like spreadsheets.
That’s one way we ensure that MailBug is easier to afford and easier to use than a computer.
- MailBug will display the text of HTML file attachments. If the email newsletter you signed up for is formatted as an HTML file (and many are), MailBug converts the HTML file into simple text so you can read it.
- MailBug will display the text of a PDF file. If someone sends you a PDF file, MailBug converts the file into simple text so you can read it.
MailBug can receive the text portion of any computer-based attachment that a someone might send, whether it started out as a presentation, a spreadsheet, a word processing file, an invoice, or any other computer-based file. If the original file is sent as either HTML (“saved as a webpage”) or as a PDF, then MailBug will display the text portion of the file attachment.
Note for those MailBug customers who also want to use a computer: If you wish to do it, you can also access your MailBug email using a computer, so you can archive, print, or view attachments in their original form. Contact Support for details.
