Customer Reviews
Since being introduced, MailBug has been in continuous use by appreciative customers for years — many as long as 10 years or more. Many of those long-time customers — as well as newer customers — or their children — write to tell us how much they appreciate what MailBug has meant to them. Below are but a small sampling of comments we’ve received from customers.
“My 82 years young Mom is in MailBug heaven!… She’s comfortable creating, sending and receiving emails to and from her sister in Tennessee, her daughter and grand-daughter in Florida, other family members and friends around the country. She doesn’t feel “isolated” anymore and looks forward to seeing the Bug light on! Your product has opened up her world… Now she’s “out & about” everyday chatting with people and having such great fun! I also have a sense of relief as I am away from her for 8 hours or so a day and this way, I can “talk” to her anytime! The MailBug was the perfect solution for all of us!”
“I am a 72 year old Grandmother and really enjoying my MailBug. I am able to keep in touch with my family and friends. I just love it. I even bought one for my daughter in Washington and have encouraged several friends to get one.”
“Hi Guys! I bought this MailBug for my Mom (86 years old) for Christmas. It has been SUCH a blessing, for all of us. She sends and receives email and thinks she is so “with it.” For people like her, and many others I’m sure, I just want to say thank you.”
“I am 93 years old and received a MailBug from my sons for Christmas. It is a great way to keep in touch with all my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”
“This little machine is the greatest. It is simple enough to use and understand for people like me who have not been involved in learning to use a big computer. It is so much fun to use and I’m able to keep in contact with the family and friends.”
“My son and wife gave me my MailBug for my 82nd birthday last August and I have not had anything I have enjoyed any more. It is so much fun to hear from friends and family. Always exciting when I see the little red light flashing. I can’t think of doing without one.”
“Again Many thanks for my MailBug. I am a 76 year old grandmother and I keep in touch will all my children and eight grandchildren. Couldn’t do without my bug. Keep up your great work.”
“I just love my MailBug, I am a little old lady that loves to keep in touch with the grandchildren, family and friends. I have also enjoyed doing business with Landel. Keep up the good work.”
“Appreciate your service very much! I don’t have time to bother with the web, and I’m certainly glad to have my MailBug. Have recommended it to other seniors, and hope some of them listen. Terrific for people who aren’t wrapped up in computers!”
“Last November, my brother and I bought a MailBug for my grandfather and his wife. They live in rural Nebraska, and are on a fairly fixed budget. Unfortunately most of their children and grandchildren are spread across the country. Long distance phone service was expensive and was usually a once a week occurrence. My brother and I began looking for some type of Internet access for my grandparents that would be both easy to learn as well as inexpensive. The MailBug was our solution. The system is so easy and user friendly, that they immediately began emailing friends and family. My grandfather had Parkinson’s and had great difficulty using his hands, so his wife typed most of the messages. However, he enjoyed reading emails he received and dictating new ones. Over the last few months I became much closer with my grandfather, conversing via email on an almost daily basis. A few weeks ago, when my grandfather had to go into the hospital, I called him and told him I had mailed him a letter, and he replied “A snail mail!” Techno-hip at 90 years! Sadly my grandfather passed away 2 weeks ago. At the funeral, all of the relatives there were constantly telling my brother and me what a blessing the MailBug had been. Without it, my grandfather may have spent his last few weeks with only occasional communication with the ones he loved. I have saved every email that the two of them sent. My grandfather was only able to actually type one of those himself. It is only four sentences long, but I will cherish it for the rest of my life. Thank you for letting me share the last months of my grandfather’s life with him.”
“I love my little bug. Frankly, I think it is keeping me alive. I’ll be 98 in April. I live in Texas, my daughter Joan lives in the DC area. She emails me before she goes to bed and when she wakes up and other times if things happen. Sends it all to my son, here, her daughters, one in Maryland, one in Bolivia, S.A. I still live alone. Thanks!”
“You folks have been so courteous and prompt with answering any problems we might have had with our little “MailBug.” My brother in Denver some time back had wanted to get a MailBug but at that time we were making purchases at Stationery Stores and he could not seem to find one in the Denver Area. Other friends bought from you directly. Anyway he did find a different one but he says no comparison to mine. He lost his wife in 2008 as I did my husband and he has been so good corresonding with me since that time via e-mail. I know I would not hear from him if it had to be by a letter in the mail. I am 84 years old now and this has kept me in touch with family in Nebraska, old school friends in Iowa, Ohio, Minnesota, Missouri, Washington etc. I am fairly well, not able to get around well and my “MailBug” is my great interest each day. So far I have been able to care for myself in my little home but I have friends in Independent Care and Assisted Care Homes enjoying theirs too. The “MailBug” is so small compact and easy to hook up that anyone can do it. Again I Thank You So Much.”
“Landel has helped me huge in my emailing, I have the Appple computer but prefer to email from Landel, it is much simpler and faster for me and is a fraction of the cost of my Apple which I frequently have to have people help me with. I wish you success.”
